Luckily today starts with beaming sunrays! Makes it easy to forget the slow sun start from the last two days. On our to-do list today: Cala Boix. According to Elle Magazine, different than any other location. Cliffs surrounding a dark beach. Gorgeous clear water. Easy accessible sea – as in: you can access it without those ugly water shoes required on other beaches. Larger than the previous small intimate beaches. A mix of tourists and locals. It does however not provide us with a clear X-factor so our previous numero uno remains just that for now.

We enjoy a couple of hours of sun, a light lunch and a refreshing dive in the water. Long enough for our discovery itch to start playing up again. So, back to the car and en route to Playa Cala Martina and Chirincana Bar. It appears to be thè place to be for alternative hippies who crawl out of their tents or trailer at aperitif time to have a drink and share a joint. It oozes a relaxed atmosphere however, we do feel we lack a tattoo and a piercing or two to really fit in. Seaview GT’s are worth the stop though!

From hippie to fancy beach club, all is possible in Ibiza. We move our lazy bums to Amante Beach Club in Sol d’en Serra – not to be mistaken with Cala d’en Serra. This stop cannot be more different than the previous one. Amante is located pretty remote in a fantastic looking bay surrounded by rocks and plants. A trendy beach club with lounge beds and corners, bean bags and a DJ taking care of some chill bass. The sun is great but ruthless so drinking is a must. J A perfect matching bum beanbag and an endless amazing view form the ultimate end to our lazy afternoon. A place worth returning to and who knows we do return!

We would have happily just stayed there, however, time for our dinner reservation in La Paloma restaurant in Sant Llorenc. A tip from a friend who received this tip from Sergio Herman, known as the owner/chef of The Jane in Antwerp. A tip not to be ignored. And the restaurant supersedes our expectation indeed. We have a delicious meal – with the exception of the dessert which may just be an unfortunate fluke. The cherry on top for that evening is actually the tip provider himself as a couple of tables from ours sits the man himself, joined by his family. A true tip indeed.

La Paloma is far from a small restaurant but it was completely full so upfront reservation is a must! To find it fast and easy, drive to Sant Llorenc church and seek the side where opposite the church, you find La Paloma parking lot.
